How to Create a Free Blog and Start Posting in 2 Minutes

I am writing this post only for newbies who don't know anything about Blogging and how to post their own content. This guide will help you create, design, and maintain your very own free blog that you can start posting in minutes after creating.

I wont it digging too much, so this post will be a overall view of how to have a blog running. Open a new tab in your browser now.

Type in, www.blogger.com

Note: Blogger is a free blogging platform provided by Google. It means it is the best you can get. And obviously for free.

If you have a Google account. I mean you should be having a Gmail ID for sure? If you have one, just use the same to sign in. But if you don't have a Gmail account, you have to create a Google account for it. So click on Signup button at the top right corner of that page.

After you login/creating new google account, you will be redirected to blogger dashboard. My Dashboard looks like this:

Since you are logging in first time, and you don't have any blogs in your account. So there wont be any, click on New Blog button on the left side and the following screen will popup:

 

Steps to Proceed

• 1. Title: This will be the title of your Blog. Could be your name or whatever you want.
• 2. Address: This is will your blog address for example yourname.blogspot.com. This is what people will type to reach your blog.
• 3. Template: These are the pre-built designs for your blog, your can choose any. Or if you don't like, you change after anytime. Just choose one to proceed.
• Now click Create Blog. Your blog is ready.

Now Click on your blog name and go to the Dashboard of your newly created Blogger. Create your first post and enjoy blogging!
